my boring life


 so sad
 

I will post more later but am finding it hard to to with the tears right now. My cat Xena died within 48hrs of first becoming sick. I called the fucken vet and they said they were double booked and it sounded like a UTI. Bring her in tomaaroow they said. I described the symtoms and they said she shoud be fine. That was at 6:30 at 8 she was dead. I have to take her in for an autopsy to ifnd out what happened and to protect my other cat. They are talking rabies or whatever. She was a house cat. She went out on a harness and leash with me and she was never alone outside.

Sorry for the spelling mistakes but right now I do not care about spelling grammer etc. I feel like I let her down and I did something wrong.

Well on Friday things were going okay. I asked a few of the women up front if they complained about the door, they said that they did not care if it was open or not as it did not affect them. Side note after being told it was 10 degrees cooler up front my co-worker went up to the front and it was actually 2 degress warmer up front. I was told by one of the guys out back that they had to fight to get the PM to stop closing their door and the girls up front told me they had to fight with him about an exhaust fan.

Well the door was open and things were going okay. When I got back to my area after lunch there was a large fan sitting there. I unplugged it and moved it. It was one that stands of the floor so it was in the way and a fan blowing on the table dries my glue before I can use the names. The girl behind me has a table fam that she has sitting on the table behind her because she has the same problem. Another note is that both her and I hate having a steady breeze blowing on us. At least with the door open the breeze ebbs and flows. Well I told OM/Hr that I never asked for a fan and he had went out and bought one. (thye have got to put a stop to this guy being allowed to charge things at the hardware store. He has bought things that he has never used) She said that she hasn't had a chance to talk to him but she would before the days end because she was going on holidays.

Well PM decided he was going to spend the afternoon sweeping because that guy was needed at the saw. Did I mention that the PM is trying to blame the guys that came in to fix the saw for it being down. Seems to me they were called in BECAUSE the saw was down. Apparently there were some corrupted files etc. Well PM gets to my work station and says that if I wanted I could have a table top fan instead. I told him no, the door open would be just fine. He said that it was a fan or nothing because the open door letting in the breeze was not an option. He left and I looked around to the girl behind me and she was looking shell shocked. She could not believe how rude he was once again. The guys out back told me to go to the owner (great guy and he likes the door open)and talk to him. Lets see what monday will bring.

Let me give you some info on the PM. Last year he decides he will retire at Christmas and tells owners. They send OM for upgrading so she is handling the less dirty aspects of his job and one of the guys is handling the machine repairs etc (he is doing a much better job) Well we get back to work and PM is there. He decided that he wasn't going to retire because he could not afford it. Seems to me he should have figured that out first. Well he wanted a year contract and told them he had another job lined up. We were hoping he would leave but our wishes were not granted. He had the nerve to ask the owners that since he was collecting CCP (canada pension plan) that the premiums that they would have had to pay for him they should pay him directly because it was his money. Sorry but that is a tax deduction. Since then he has screwed up two machines, I ma not counting the saw in that because they jury is out on that one, and is constantly taking time off. He hasn't worked a full 40 hrs but since he is on salary he gets paid anyways. One week he told me he was taking the day off because they were installing a furnance at his house. Two weeks later he told the same story to one of the guys out back and he took another day off. He has been caught in lies and he is so two-faced it is horrible. He also goes through the plant making funny noises etc. He has always done that but is getting worse. Everyone in the plant wants to see him gone. He goes on power trips and if he doesn't get his way he acts like a two year old with and basically stomps off.

 The saga of the door.
 

Well this week was the door issue coming to a head. First let me set the mood. The saw at work has been screwed up for almost two weks. Well the "plant manager", who I shall refer to as PM for the rest of the post, decides that pushing buttons is a good idea. This saw works with two computers so it is not an easy fix sometimes. The PM is not a computer whiz or anything so it was a receipe for disaster. Well the guy who normally runs the saw is watching this and notices that something comes up on the screen. He asked the PN what it meant and the response was "I am not sure" I think most people would stop at that point and consult the owners manuel. Not him, he keeps pushing buttons. Well after a few days of this the owner of the factory tells him to get the service guys in. Pm did not want to call the service guys but wanted to buy two computers to see if he could get it working that way. The owner said that he wanted it fixed properly so in came the service guy. Now the first day the guy did some checking and could not fiqure out the problem. He had some ideas but nothing concrete. The next day two service guys show up to work on the saw. well PM calls up the service company and told them he is not paying for two guys (he doesn't pay, the company owners pay) then he goes into the office and proceeds to tell the owner that there were two guys there etc etc. Well the owner tells him he doesn't care if it takes five guys he wants the saw fixed. Well that set the stage for the door sage. Pm was already in a pissy mood because he got put in his place by the owner so he decided to spread the love around and I was in his sights.

The door was open and he decides to close it. I asked the two other people in the area if they wanted it open and they said yes. I opened it and for the next few hours it was good. Then at about an hour before quitting time the shit hit the fan and it went like this

PM: what is the problem with the door being closed
ME: there was a nice breeze and we want it open
PM: a warm breeze
ME: a nice breeze
PM: well it is 10 degrees cooler up front and I have had a complaint about your door being open and they are getting warm up there.
ME: when they are told to shut their door out back we will shut ours.
PM: when they have the door shut out back the temp. goes up back there (at this time I am thinking, duhh that is why we want it open)
ME: we want to door open
PM: if you want a fan I have no problem with that
ME: all we want is the door open
PM: well tomarrow the door will be closed and that is the end of it.

Luckly he left on his little blue bike or he would have had an earful. The girl I work with said that he had no right to by that rude to me. I wasn't letting him get away with this so when the office manager/hr woman came out I told her the tale. The girl I work with backed me up on it. The om/hr said that as far as she is concerned it is our door and if we want it open, it will be open. She said she would talk to him the next day (friday) bacause he already left for the day. I said to her there is my point, he doesn't work 40hrs in our area, he doesn't even spend 40hrs a week in the plant. OM/hr laughed and said very good point. Well I thought this is going to finally be resolved.
