my boring life

 I hate snowblowers

Well my nifty snowblower has a flat tire. I thought that when I got home I would take the sucker off, grab a tire patch kit, fix the tube and away I go. Wouldn't you know it, not so simple. First it is a tubeless tire and second it had lost the seal on the rim. No biggie I thought, just take the tire off and head to the nearest place and get them to fix it. I should have know better. I tried and tried to loosen the bolt that holds the wheel on but it refuses to budge. I swear they used crazy glue to fasten that sucker on I do not want to strip the bolt head so now I have to load the damn thing up in the back of the Tracker and take the whole thing to the repair place. When I take it in I am going to get them to loosen the other wheel bolt and let me tighten it myself. That way I will be able to take the other one off in case I need to in the future. The guy will probably be able to take the problem wheel off with no sweat and I will be standing there looking like an idiot. Oh well it isn't the first time and probably not the last.

I will update you later on the sorry tale of the snowblower

 SNOW!!

Well it looks like we are going to be hit with another snowstorm. They are posting blowing snow warnings for tonight and tomorrow. I just got done cleaning the driveway so I hope that it will not fill it in again.

I went to the Home Depot last night for a basement reno demo. The guy who did the class was very good. He explained everything in easy to understand terms. He showed us some products that we can use and every did some demonstrations and let us try. I came away with some good ideas and some information of some new products. Now I feel more confident about what I am doing in the basement.

I am having a tough time sleeping lately. I have tried everything that worked before but I am constantly waking up. I even took a sleeping pill but that did not work either. I need sleep

 another snow storm

Well just got done cleaning up the driveway after last nights snow. It was pretty bad here yesterday but I made it to work and home again safely. My Mom was suppose to come today but where she lives it is still snowing so it will probably be next weekend when I see her.

Tomorrow I will be 41. Damn I feel old. I plan on sleeping in and going out for lunch. I did all my housework today, the last load of laundry is in the washer, dishes are done and the floors are cleaned.

I am starting to think about my holidays for this year. Normally I do not take them because of bills that need to be paid. I get 4 weeks so maybe a day off here and there are in order. I want to do some home renovations so if I take off it will be to work on that. I like doing as much as I can them I call my guys in to handle the stuff I am not sure of how to do. They are really great and do excellent work. It helps that one is really good looking and in the summer with his shirt off, boy oh boy

 friends

Well yesterday 5 of us girls went to Kelseys for a get together for one who has left us and went to greener pastures. I was a little ticked off because this woman did a lot at our work in regards to 50/50 draws, group lottery and other things. Due to her new job we had to meet on a friday because of her work hours. Well, even after this being planned for two weeks, people that were going to come ended up backing out. So it was me, the guest of honour, a retired woman and two other friends. We went for starters and desserts. I came up with the idea that we should by tickets for a lottery that is up to 16 million. I am really hoping that we win and when people ask, "why didn't you ask me if I wanted in?" I can tell them if they were there they would have been asked.

Well that is my rant for today

One of my friends told me something very shocking. Her son is taking driver training and while out with the instructor another car ran a red light. My friends son tapped on his brakes so he would not hit the jackass crossing in front of him. The instructor asked him why did he do that. He responded so he did not hit the car and her response was he should have hit him because it was the other guys fault ????????? In no way did the friends son endanger someone else by tapping his brakes. She did not take into account that yes it may have been the other guys fault but if you are injured, maybe seriously, does it really matter whose fault it is in the end. What ever happened to defensive driving?
